MATH COMPETITION
2009:
Carmel has a fun competition in which the prize is a bag of candy bars and 7th and 8th graders compete together.  In the past there was only one prize and the winner was always a big school until last year when St Gilbert won. This year they expanded the competition to have separate prizes for large, mid-sized (St Gilbert) and small schools. We won the mid-size school prize.  So this year's graduating class won the candy at every opportunity, something we never did before.  I am waiting for the complete results. I expect we came close to winning other awards.  Chair David Froehlich
